During the Philippine Football League presented by Qatar Airways, Kaya FC Iloilo won its second straight game against Azkals Development Team, 3-1, on Saturday night as former collegiate stars Jarvey Gayoso and Arnel Amita scored for the second consecutive game.

As Kaya won a fourth straight game to increase its record to 42 points, 11 clear of Dynamic Herb Cebu, Gayoso struck the deciding goal in the second half and Amita sealed the victory with another late strike.

Andres Aldeguer scored a goal off an assist from Pocholo Bugas in the 10th minute to kick off ADT’s preparations for the Southeast Asian Games.

However, Kaya took control after the 29th minute with Audie Menzi equalizing just moments after Dennis Chung almost extended ADT’s lead before Kaya goalkeeper Zach Banzon denied him.

As a result of ADT’s loss for the second consecutive game, the team remained in fourth place with 21 points. ADT’s Under-23 squad will be bannered by its core for the SEA Games in Cambodia in May.

Menzi’s second goal was provided by Horikoshi, who also set up Gayoso’s second, bursting into space and striking past Quincy Kammeraad.
