ABS-CBN and TV5 inked a five-year content deal despite “It’s Showtime” being transferred to GMA-7’s GTV.

Cory Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Broadcast at ABS-CBN, and TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan attended the contract signing.

As part of the event, Simon Pangilinan and Amado Vidanes were also present, as well as Martin “Mark” Lopez, Chairman of ABS-CBN Corporation; Carlo Katigbak, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABS-CBN; Guido Zaballero, President and CEO of TV5; and Jane Basas, President and CEO of Mediaquest.

The signing of this five-year agreement is very exciting for us. The partnership has been very successful for us, and I think we can take advantage of a number of opportunities together,” Lopez said.

It’s been a long time tuluy-tuloy. We will have a lot to offer our audience in the near future. Tuly-tuloy ‘yan, it’s going forward. Our goal is to create content that appeals to all audiences.

The fact that we are partners with TV5 makes us very happy and proud. “It’s really a way for both organizations to solidify what they want to accomplish together,” he said.

It’s Showtime” relocated to GTV’s sister channel GMA Network in order to accommodate Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and the rest of the Dabarkads.
